At The Vegan Wellness Co. we believe that taking care of the environment is everyone’s responsibility, including all our staff, friends and customers.
We know that widespread vegetarianism can help us fight climate change by lowering emissions, but did you know that eating vegetarian for a year saves emissions equivalent to taking a small car off the road for 6 months! *
By creating affordable vegan products that are easily accessible and affordable to all, we hope to make it that much easier for everyone to make choices that give the environment a little helping hand!
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes. Our supplements are packed in PET recyclable jars and our postal boxes and product cartons are also recyclable.
Our pouches are made from fully recyclable LDPE plastic, which can be recycled at your local household recycling centre or at your local supermarket with the soft plastics.
Packaging
Postal cartons are fully recyclable and where necessary we use EcoFlo void-fill.
EcoFlo is a leading environmentally friendly void fill packaging material.
Manufactured from starch material, EcoFlo is a fully compostable void-fill material and is 100% biodegradable. The product is fully soluble when saturated with water which takes away the issue of litter. It also conforms to EN13432.
The manufacturing process for EcoFlo void-fill material is a single stage process (compared with the manufacturing process for the polystyrene version, which is multi-stage, uses more energy so is less environmentally friendly).
Starch is also an annually renewable resource.
Technical information: 100% biodegradable, 100% compostable, contains no hazardous decomposition products and no hazardous polymerisation.
Are your products made in the UK?
We try to source our products from the UK wherever possible, but in order to ensure that we use the best possible quality ingredients, we also source ingredients from around the world, in partnership with our trusted suppliers across the globe. To ensure that we minimise our carbon footprint as much as possible, we always try to utilise the most environmentally efficient way of transporting our incredible ingredients and products.
